I will be installing a work called Reflections On Unlocking The Light Within – I also am transforming the base of my Art Ramble 2019 piece – feels so good to recycle!
Original Proposal Text: Using a mirrored Plexiglass base, I would invite visitors to look into the mirror to see themselves with the sky and sunlight above them, and sometimes reflected on their faces. Etched on the mirror will be a key hole (or many keyholes) and words, such as hope, peace, compassion. Around the mirrored platform, hanging from branches or trees (possibly leading people to the mirrored platform), would be shiny metal, mirrored and clear Plexiglass silhouettes of keys. My concept is that with the metaphoric right key, we can unlock a brighter future.
