I am driven by curiosity and the need to play and explore. I also love ‘problem-solving’, such as discovering and learning new artistic techniques in order to realize ideas which are percolating in my mind. I work in a broad range of materials, both within the traditional and digital parameters of art, and encourage others to develop skills in a variety of media. I belong to Vernon Street Studios in Somerville, work in ceramics at Mudflat, and have joined the Woodworkers and Painters Guilds at LexArts in Lexington MA. I also have been learning how to wheel-throw, wood turn, and starting to re-learn some metal-working techniques. Much of my mainly nature-themed work has been publicly exhibited.

I did retired from teaching graphic design at Suffolk University on July 1, 2021 and somehow, I have no idea how I ever had time to work! 🙂 I did not apply to exhibitions in 2022 but hope to apply, and be accepted, in 2023.
