Lexie, the Artsy Horse

Submitted a design for Riding Through History, an exhibition of 8 painted horses to celebrate the 250th Anniversary of the American Revolution. Lexie lives outside of LexArt and will be on display untilsummer 2026.

Each patch of color on this painted pony relates to one of the Studios at LexArts. We chose tools of the trade that have stood the test of time, some that date back to the revolution. I then drew most of the silhouettes in Illustrator and printed them out so we could transfer them to each patch. I worked with 3 other LexArt members and a few others who helped fill in the colors on the horse.
